Got the starter, clears the headers fine, but I gotta make alittle tab for the ignition wire to clip to. Grabbed a heat shield for it too, will try to start putting it all back together tomorrow.

That's probably not a bad idea. Have everyone make a post with their list of their modifications, as well as horsepower/torque data. It should help some people with their decisions as to what parts to use.

Cannot for the life of me figure out why you can't pick a combination and go with it already. Seems like a lot of wasted time and effort, not to mention $$$$$$$$$$$$

Just saw on CNBC that Ford and GM are merging. A press conference is scheduled for 11am. Apparently the plan is to merge the 2 companies to become a powerful US automaker to take on Japan. They are eliminating some of the known name brands of each automaker. Ford is keeping the F-150 and SUV lines but getting rid of the Focus, Fusion and Mustang Lines. GM is keeping it's economy lines but getting rid some of their SUV models and Pickups. While I was typing this I had CNN on and they were talking about how the 2 companies will be working on a high performance car that will involve bringing back the SVT name but using it on a GM car. and SVT Corvette of Camaro perhaps?

The lightning blower ended up paying for itself, no harm no foul. I think it'll stay NA+nitrous at this stage though. No sense in messing too much more with it. It's still hopefully destined to get some new heads and cams and the newest intake but that's a side project.

I think I have a spare balancer. Yours for the cost of shipping. I'll look when I get home.
April Goobs Day strikes again.

r3dn3ck,
I was browsing back through a few pages and wanted to apologize for being such a negative ***... I have a (*cough*very*cough*) hard time keeping my opinions to myself sometimes... (*cough*mostofthetime*cough*)..... If someone is enthused about building something new, then more power to them.
I think you should just sell your engine to me, put a stock 4.6 in it, and sell the car quick because you apparently have no self control when it comes to this stuff....I mean we all have problems with not being satisfied or "done".....but you sir are in a whole 'nother league....

it's the internet, everyone is entitled to have their own opinion and be as terse about it as they want. You get special dispensation from me personally for any infractions of decorum. I was not, however, offended. I appreciated that you took the time to post a thorough rebuttal.
as far as the continual combo changes go... the car is less about finishing than keeping my hands busy anymore. I'm dangerous when left with nothing to do. Dan.. I'm not joking: gimme 10K and I'll give you the car, running and tuned, new seats, new nitrous kit and I'll toss in the chassis and body molds for my Formula Ford open wheel car.

Doh.....thats actually almost physically painful to read....... I've put myself in a bad spot because my truck isn't running so I still need to buy an engine, and I bought an Altima that I thought would bridge a bunch of needs, but its just not for me (was planning to sell the truck). I still need a truck to haul, and if I'm going to have a fun 2nd car I want something hotter than this (the Altima). Having just bought this car and now planning to sell it, if I even brought up buying your car right now I might have some serious marital issues.....

Alright I guess I'll do alittle update.
Got the starter on, I can't really recommend the power master starter, The ignition side just had a stud and I had to come up with a spade type connector to make it work. The bottom bolt hole on the starter is basically covered, you might be able to make it work with a stud and a nut. It doesnt look like it was very well thought out.
On the drivers-side header, I had to use a stud on the back, bottom bolt. I've got the stage 8 bolts and it wouldnt go in that hole at all. Dont mess around, just take off the motor mounts.
On a side note, you really need to bring a friend to put these things on, It's a bitch otherwise.
I'm gonna have to extend the O2 extensions I've got too but I'll save that for tomorrow, gonna try to recruit some help and get it knocked out.
