Guys question.
Bought some fuel rails for the 5.4 - however there is not a provision on there for
the fuel pressure regulator...
So my question is how do you think I should set this up?
Currently there are the two rails, and a highflow crossover on the front. the passenger side rail has
the fitting for the input line (to the stock fuel line) and then I have the drivers side (which will be connected to the return line)
So what I was thinking was buying a regulator to put on AFTER the drivers side (inbetweeen the return fuel line and rail)
Does this make sense? If not, then any recomindations?
Please remember I have the old return style system

Connect any compatible FPR to the end of the circuit (end of the driver side rail) just exactly like you have planned and you're golden.
For those of you with returnless systems that end up with say... lightning rails (like I have) or some other aftermarket rail that doesn't have a provision for a Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (different but similar to a Fuel pressure regulator in effect), you'll need this:

That will connect to any -8ORB coupler onto the end of a common aftermarket -8ORB threaded fuel rail.
In the following pic you can see the black adapter connected via a purple coupler to the front of my driver side Aeromotive lightning fuel rail. A tad spendy at 80 bucks but the ONLY solution going right now for cars otherwise without a way to mount that sensor on their aftermarket fuel rail setup.
EDIT: Got 2 fittings "customized" last night so I can epoxy them into the intake side intercooler and get rid of those damn hose bits. Took 2 -8AN to 1/2" barb adapters and ground the barbs off it so it's able to fit down inside the tube. Now I just gotta epoxy them in and it'll be all AN lines and fittings. **** I hate hose clamps.

im sure it sticks out the hood a good 6 to 8 inches,its badass though some like it some dont,i like to think of it as a mix of old and new ,the old cars that have the big 871 blowers thru the hood,but its fuel injected computer controled v8 eat your heart out madd max lol, all i can say is the blower sound thru the hood is well worth it!!! once you hear 18 lbs of boost just screaming in the wide open you will say **** the hood to lol here are a few pics of the height

the import guys said if you fill the"secret" bottle with redbull its worth 150 extra hp monster only give you 100hp lmao! yeah im in the process of getting eveything through the hood polished aluminum and then coated,my future plans include a kb or whipple and both of them have rear entry for the air,so that knocks a bunch of height off the top,then i will tackle a hood remedy

****! Forgot to order a gauge sending unit and a hose end. Just put in another summit order. 50 bucks more down.

if i got a whipple of KB witht the rear airentry then had a mach1 hood(which i currently have that might cover up most of the supercharger just trying to see if i want to go with a lightning supercharger set up or save up for a tork tech with the spacer for a 5.4

not one example of the tork tek kit has hit the streets on a 5.4 that I can find. That and since the price is so high, might as well get a KB or a whipple. If cost is really a factor you should really look at a centrifugal. A Positive displacement type will need an aftermarket hood and some trial and error. Even a stock mach 1 hood will have to be modified. how much I can't say.

More work being done today. Put the correct fittings on the methanol tank and passenger side fuel rail and the PCV inlet to the plenum. Today, I'm puttnig in the oil pressure sensor for the autometer gauge reconnecting the IAT2 to the IAT2 gauge (actually a trans temp gague but it's in the right temp range). May put the IAT2 sensor into the coolant channel instead though.
Going to finish the braket for the intercooler pump and put AN-Barb fittings in the in-manifold intercooler so I can get rid of all the bits of cut heater hose that are playing coupler now. It'll clean the **** out of the install.

Here's some progress pics on the car. Hooked up my oil pressure sensor and did a little re-working of the plumbing. Put a 90deg fitting on the intake side of the PCV inlet so it clears the hood better and epoxy'd a couple modified -8AN-1/2"barb fittings into the intercooler spuds on the manifold. Got rid of those two bits of hose I was using as couplers there. Also (can't see in pic) put a 90deg fitting on the front of the passenger side fuel rail for the crossover to the driver side so there's no extra hose sticking out in front now.
Got rid of the battery box and used a real proper hold down instead. That's a lot more solid and shorter so it'll fit better under the rear seat delete.
For those that might want to put the fittings in the intercooler, just sand off the barbs so they're flush with the rest of the shank and they'll slide right in. A good blob of JB weld right up at the hex will hold them tight. Put a good blob on so it runs down the outside of the spud, then just massage it smooth.

BTW... I need the size of or someone with a spare to volunteer it, the top driver side bolt for the lower boost pulley frame. It bolts in at 3 locations and I've only got the lower points in. Can't figure out the bolt. It's looking like maybe a 10mm x 1.25 but I can't be sure. Anyone? Don't make me find out on my own. hehe

Hey will or R3D. If you guys happen to have or know where I can get one, that would be great. I am looking for a Lightning intake air tube from the MAF to the throttle body. I don't want the whole airbox, just this tube. I see a few on eBay and SVTperformance, but they are all the whole airbox and most want in the $100 area. I'd like to find just the tube for of course a lot less $. Let me know if you have one or access to one for sale. Thanx
