k guys, call dibbs on parts. Erik has dibbs on the intake. Morgan on the rear and control arms. The12fast has dibbs on my exhaust.
Do I have anyone for the heads and cams or the bottom end, fuel system, gauges, gauge cluster, shifter, pedals, clutch, wheels and tires, brakes, front suspension, wing, bumper covers? As soon as I get enough of you dibbing on the parts I'll start the part out. Just don't want to part it and lose my ***. It's got about 10k worth of parts on it not counting the shell.

I have romeo heads not sure of thread count. Definitely ported to some extent. Looks to be stage 1. Steel valve guides, multi-angle valve job, ferrea stainless valves (6000 series), comp springs, comp xe270ah-13 cams. Porting work was said to have been done by fox lake but I'm doubtful of that. Whoever ported them left the swirl dam in place. Retainers appear to be steel not titanium. The cams are wearing MMR aluminum spacers and new cam sprockets (well.. they were new when the motor was assembled 8K miles ago).
Jake: If you can do $300 a month till july and do a payoff then then I'll call it sold to you right here and now. If you can do that then I'll keep comprehensive insurance on it (so if anything bad happens to it you get your money back) and keep maintaining it and adding new parts that I have waiting for it. Call it 7 payments of 300 (december to june, inclusive) and then in july a balloon payment of 6400 for a grand total of 8500. That represents a 400 dollar premium for the privilege of making 7 payments and recoups the cost of me keeping insurance on it and changing oil on it and buying a car-cover for it. That plan just comes to mind... if you need to play with the numbers to make it work, I'm game.

r3d,
what shock/struts do you have? and how much would you do the entire front end kit for (k, A arms, shocks/struts, coilovers, CC plates)
I guess consider that dibs on your front suspension setup/shocks struts

It's the IAC (idle air controller). Yes you do. You should have a place for it... all modular v8's used about the same basic piece. It should allow air in after the TB. It's electronically controlled by your ECU.

Is there a different version I could use? I don't see where I could put this thing anywhere.

&I've got a boss 260 intake. It's completely different.
There's no way to make the stock GT one work with my intake, think I'm gonna use the 03 cobra one.

k-member install complete
I ran into quite a few problems with tools and me losing parts since I had to wait a week between working on it.
Here's a couple pics of it in there. Loving all the room I've got now.
Don't worry, those brakes will be taken care of soon enough. I want to get them powder coated, or replace them for some strange brakes.

I've heard they are hard to find a throttle body for ... ???
Did you find a throttle body to fit correctly, or did you fab an adapter to use another unit?
#9885
I'm getting a new flange made and welded on in place of the old one for a 75mm gt throttle body.
#9887
Why dont you go for the dual throttle bodies off of a 99/01 Cobra 03/04 Cobra/Mach? Its the same thing and i got mine for 30 bucks shipped.

I don't think the LS one will work. That's a Lima engine with a different ECU and probably a different voltage for its equivalent part. You'll need to stay in the modular parts zone.
What you could do is use a bit of hose and some fittings and plumb a bung into your intake's common plenum (or behind the throttle body at any rate) and just epoxy a nipple on the flat side that you can hook that to. On the lumpy side of the IAC just use the ol' rubber hose from the intake snorkel after the MAF to it. It almost doesn't fuggin matter where that thing physically is. ALL IT DOES is let in a little bit of air while the throttle blades are closed.
Send me detailed pics of your IAC from the front and back and your intake (especially all the vacuum nipples) and I'll see if maybe I can help you with the specific sizes of things and places to put them.

I just found a guy selling a bunch of 01 cobra intakes, will separate the parts so I could get a twin 57mm t/b from him and an IAC off an 01 from him. Would be cheaper than getting everything else and I could sell the 75mm t/b I've got.

Where did you get one that cheap? I would rather have one of those, just got a good deal on this one. What size are you using and where did you get it?

I got mine on Mach1Registry. Its stock but i ported it a little bit and sanded it down some. There are several of them floating around on svtperformace.com too. Just post up a thread on the Cobra section asking for one and you'll get fast responses.

Can you send me a picture of your portwork?

Cobra and Mach I, Terminator, Cobra - R, BULLITT

I think I may have to pick one of these up. It will flow more air than the 75, and by getting the intake to hold one of these, I'll have the freedom to use a bigger one later if I need it. The 75 really wont give me any room to grow.

I'm gonna do something like this.

I'd like to get the part that mounts to the intake powdercoated to match, but I don't know if I want to mess with it. I may just clean it up and make it look as new as possible.

after tossing around the ideas of putting a tork tech on my 2v 5.4. I decided i am going to put in a 4v 5.4
Ive seen jarryd's thread on corral. i want to go with a stock 4v 5.4 long block. N/A agressive cams, and long tubes, and MMR 5.4 intake
Does FTP make 4v long tubes?
Can i hit 350/400 with this set up?
I may add a 150 shot.
I want to keep some money to spend on my 351 bronco. Looking at putting a KB blowzilla, and blower cam on that.

you'll be able to take 350rwhp out of it no problem with 4v. Adding a 150 shot has the expected results. If you're going 4v, call up Al Papito at Boss330 Racing before you take step 1. It's worth your time. He knows 4v 5.4's and sometimes makes intakes for them. Get that compression up if you're going NA+N2O. 10.5-11:1. 4v longtubes are just 4v flanges on 2v longtubes. FTP can handle it.
