[QUOTE=PColav6;274923]thats because you've learned your lesson and I'm sure you have a different perspective on things. A+ for you.haha

dude, you're a drama queen, and assuming that you arent posting all this **** for attention, and assuming you actually have burried one of your kids, I find that to be a little odd, because unless I was seeing things wrong, it said in your profile that you're 29. And unless you had a kid at age 15, i doubt your child died in a car related accident so why bring it up?
Basically, my impression of you is that all you want is attention.

Oh, and I feel bad for you if you think someone would use the death of a child just for attention.
Never heard of a pathological liar before?
Ive known several people who have used the death of a family member, one being a kid that was in my band, he used the death of his uncle as an excuse to yell at my drummer for playing while he was on the phone saying that his uncle died that night when his mom said that his uncle died like..a month ago at from that time....and then theres this "friend" of mine who is seriously a pathological liar and still brings up deaths in his family as excuses for things.
My point is though that if a family member or friend died in whatever circumstance, dont use them as an example. In my opinion its disrespectful.
Im gonna break my own rules here though, my dad died when I was 7 years old and I dont use that as an excuse for when I **** up, and I certainly dont use it as an attention getter, or to start a pity party.
And also, if I die in a car related accident, atleast I died doing something that I think is fun.
Although if I had to die from a freakish happening.....Id rather fall to my death, preferably off of something higher than 500 feet though, Id want to atleast half *** enjoy it.

And btw, for all you old fellas talking smack on us youngster, I was watching pinks the other day, and some 16 year old kid won all his races and most were against older dudes, and the kid was driving an old (not sure wat year) z28...and it was his daily driver. So lets not base things on age anymore...why not just base things on skill?
as for the kid on pinks, he was probably racing go-karts since he was 4 and drag racing since he could fit in the driver seat. This is known as what is an exception to the rule, as in, rare... possible, but rare.
Me, i dont race much. hardly ever. Just not into it, i like mustangs and i like fast cars, but it is a desire of playing with a fast car and is much a solo thing, if some other person has a fast car good for them, they usually dont manage to get me to race though, thats not why i have one. Therefore, im sure about half the 18-21 year olds would waste me on stock vs stock on the track. but it is not SKILL that im talking about.
What i AM talking about is that older drivers ARE more mature about thier driving habits. once again, there is room for the exception, but the exception is an exception because they are not the norm. When i was 17 18 i wanted to prove myself to everyone. As time goes that just gets less important as you understand the only person bothing to prove anything to is yourself, if you never let yourself down then you wont let others down either.
So, older guys are generally a lot more careful and responsible about racing and just do the occasional impromptu rather than LOOKING for races.
but of course, with exceptions to the rule, there are also of course retarded older people who act stupid as well.
anyone thinks im full of ****, grab a stopwatch and time how long it takes to find 5 seperate articles online of 16-24 year olds who die in wrecks caused by street racing. Then time yourself on how long it takes to find 5 seperate articles on street racing deaths of those 25 and up. and next, look for 35 and up.
Only criteria for this challange, is do not use any keywords to hunt for age groups. just an open ended search. more young adults kill themselves doing this stuff than older people.
this is not smack talk this is a fact, and im not insenuating that anyone here is an irresponsible retard except for the countour raceing retard who started this thread, and even then im not sure about him, he actually might be safe, i just want to pick on him cause it is fun.

Older people have driven long enough to know nobody can predict all the factors on the road, and **** only happens when you least expect it, and that **** very well could mean dead people.
that is the difference between the "Experience of Age", and the "Confidance of youth"

and also don't think just because your a "good driver" doesn't mean something can't happen to you. The kid that drove us home from college last spring break lost control of the car and we flew into a ditch hitting 9 trees. Lucky we missed all the very large trees or there would be no question about us surviving that like we did... Its sad but it looks like you need to have a personal experience before you get it.

Im sorry, I guess Im just a bad ***.
But seriously , Im doing what I like, and Im gonna keep doing it, and If I think what Im doing is life threatening, 3 times out of 10, Ill ease up.
And for the record, I dont race in neighborhoods or populated areas.

yet another example of the type of attitude you posses that makes it more likely for you to hurt or kill yourself or others while you are behind the wheel.

And ZigZag is right. when yer 21 yer gonna look at how you were at 18 and think you were a moron. And again when yer 25 looking back to 21, and 30 looking back to 25.
the finny thing about this is you WILL agree with me 100% once you get another decade tucked under yer belt. Im not saying yer gonna say "Wow, ol jackie boy was right" that would be ludacris. But you will have a better appreciation for what we are talking about as you get older.
As much as older guys (and im only 30 and i feel 25) want to be able to shake some common sence into younger people it is damn near impossible. Young people are not wired that way to just simply accpt what some more experienced person says, they need to learn it from themselves.
my only advice to you is dont think you are invincible or you will find out how vulnerable you can be.
And be DAMN CAREFUL out there so when yer 30 you can look back and laugh at your overconfidance.
im not gonna sit here and say yer a retard for street racing, you should NOT be doing it, neither should i when the occasional time comes that i gun for it, and it sounds like you got enough common sence not to race through a busy street and try to keep it as safe as possible, but it is not what you know that will **** you up, it is what you dont know. And the bitch of that? is you dont know that you dont know it untill you know it, and then you know more and think more.
gotta find out for yerself. just try not to kill anyone else while yer at it.

And, if I want to use my kids story to make a impact, that is my right. I have earned it. I have used my daughter's story to raise over $350k to help other kids and their families. Often times out of tragety, something good happens.
This site has been around here for about 4 years. In that time I have seen some of our members get married and have kids.....and their view on life has changed as a result. We have had a lot of debate, some energetic and some not.

While i do agree with you to a small degree (IE dont use the memory of somone as a point in an arguement unless the cause of thier death is specifically related to said arguement), He is one of our most respected posters and a very intelligent person. Sitting there calling him a liar in such a condensending manor really just says to me you have to start moving to personal insults and jabs because you have no arguement.

None of you will tell me something that I dont already know, and you wont change my opinions on this whole subject.
One other thing though....I can actually say that this was all pretty dumb, but I guess I just cant let things go very easy, and thats why Ive replied to so many posts, especially the ones against me, but now that Ive wasted a whole day on this subject, its quittin' time.

I want attention? How about you? As far as me bringing up a personal tragety to make a point, I guess that was my fault. But we are all "victims" of our past. The fact that I have lost a kid does change things and my persective on life. It makes me look at things differently and when I see people taking life for granted, I think it is sad.
And, if I want to use my kids story to make a impact, that is my right. I have earned it. I have used my daughter's story to raise over $350k to help other kids and their families. Often times out of tragety, something good happens.
