Default I picked up this set of wheels and tires for 50 bucks, but....

I couldnt just let them sit in my neighbors garage any longer. Decent Nitto tires but the chrome has peeled off from extensive use of fix a flat. Does anyone know if these rims can be repaired? I took the tires off and they were lined with fix a flat everywhere.

I don't know if the chrome can be repaired but I'm sure you can have someone just pain the lips black to match the rest of the rim and that should make it good as new... just my .02

You can have all the wheels stripped and re-chromed or powder coated, or painted. So they can be saved, but its gonna cost you.

chroming is fairly inexpensive. There's a plater in most counties in the states. You'll find one. They can definitely be saved and they are kinda nice.

Powercoating in my area is 130.00 per wheel (17"), I don't know about the chroming.

I don't think I paid that much. I just found out I can get it done for like $40

I say a matte black or crinkle black and it'd look ******* sweet on that dark blue....

Like Vaughn Gittin's GT.

Makes sure it's purdy.
I'd get them powdered coated Gloss Black or whatever.
but that's just because I love the complete black scene.

I took them to get stripped and powder coated all black. I have to find some new rivets/studs. I will probably sell them with the Nitto tires when i am done.

They are 20"s and since the best deal out of this is the Nitto tires i wouldnt mind keeping them anyway. Lets see how they turn out. I am spending 30 per wheel for the stripping to the nickel and then 50 per wheel for sandblasting and powdercoating.

Damn that's more than what I'd pay.
