picked up a pulley bridge and crank pulley. Now I need to find a cheap FMIC and a fluid pump and some 42lb injectors and it's ready to go.

Still got a 75MM TB and Plenum for sale. Special pricing available to 5.4 swappers. Also looking for trades like a set of 42lbs injectors or a Water-to-air front mount heat exchanger or a aviator fuel pump.

Have a SVT focus pump for sale... unused, tiny bit of plastic broken off at the electrical connector, won't be a big deal. Cheap for swappers. Trades accepted.

EDIT: Can someone speak intelligently with me about the ups and downs of going to a return style fuel system with a 99-04 staying with the stock ECU (even if it's a significant tune change, not a big deal as long as I can use my existing ECU)? included topics are cost, complexity, parts needed, possible/not, etc...

porting is an art and a science. I would not attempt to do it yourself unless you have a flowbench that you can access to test your port shapes. There's a couple nice threads on corral.net in the GT/SOHC tech section on the subject. Port matching is not always a good idea.

ok, so i probably should have posted something here a really long time ago. thanks, r3d, for getting me over here. anyways, long story made short: im doing a 5.4 4V swap into my 99 GT and i need to know all the intricacies of the swap. ive talked to a ton of people and got a ton of info, but the issue is that everyone i talked to has done the 2V swap. terry johnson at street lethal performance in new castle, pa is the only person i spoke with who tried the 4V, but he never got it running. i really need to find someone who has a complete 5.4 4V swapped stang around here that can help me out. the biggest question i have right now is whether or not i need to use the k member spacers. terry said he didnt need them to get the motor in the car, but ive heard otherwise from several other people. and if any of you have used the spacers how did they effect the geometry of the front end??? thanks

engine will go in just like a 4.6 but with the 4v heads youll need to redo your wiriing i believe be easiest with 4v computer/wiring harness and such parts

naw... don't need to change much. Extending a few and moving a few. Nothing major.

1996: make offer via PM. Looking around 250 shipped for both.

Off memory, probably only one or two guys on these boards have done or are in the process of doing a 4v swap. I've been watching/reading these boards closely, particularly this thread for probably 6mo or so, just havent gotten anywhere with my build. Check corral.net, there is a HUGE thread on the 4v topic.

You will need to sort out the intake issue (MPH offers a widening service for B heads), wiring, computer, etc. I really dont think its THAT much trouble if you have the patience and the proper funding. IMO, with the trickflow heads coming it would be far more effective time and money wise to go 2v. With 4v, not only are you doing a 2v to 4v swap, but you are working with very tight clearance due to the 5.4. I was strongly looking into 4v for a while, but given my goals 2v is plenty for me.

Have any of you guys had problems bolting the alternator back on? theres the two main bolts that go into the block and then one on top to help hold it in place, well my bracket doesnt line up well so ive been using just the two main ones and today they snapped.

I had to go to the hardware store and i bought some little metal sleeves and loooong bolts for the top of the alternator. The sleeves help keep everything in alignment and the new bolts were longer to make up the gap created by the intake spacers. Here's a pic, u can see what i did.

Nope. I used the factory bracket and the metal sleeves. With the HPS intake the factory bracket will work as is, maybe with a couple washers as spacers if needed.

Blower users (centrifugal) I found a place you can buy your bracket plate and make your own blower bracket. You're welcome.

Smile 3-V Potential ??? 3-V Parts ???

Anyone know of any ongoing R & D for a 5.4 3-V performance intake ... ???

If nothing else, seems like some REAL GOOD WORKING (???) adaptor plates and the current FRPP Whipple S/C package on a 5.4 might be real sweet ... Any ideas ???

Ford Falcon (?) in australlia I believe. Considering what it is we are all having to do, and have been wishing and waiting so long for, they already have. Seems they are having all the fun. Sure would be nice to have a 5.4 4v over here..

looks like a set might be done in a week or so. hunter( sleepingGT) will most likely get the first set, after they are test fit and test driven( by me) and given the stamp of approval he will start making them. the ones i made are wide enough that they fit hunters auto as well as my 5sp. so no problem on that.he is also using a stock k-member as the jig, so you won't have to buy a aftermarket k-member. if the 4v 5.4 is the width as the 2v 5.4 he can make 4v headers for the same price.
