Default Quit Moaning About Gas Mileage!!

For anybody here who bitches about gas mileage in their mustang...STOP! You bought yourself a mustang which has historically always had lower end gas mileage. If you want to get gas mileage than go out and get yourself a honda civic/prius/corolla/or an old geo prism. You knew about the gas mileage situation in the first place. If anything bitch about insurance...now that's a ripoff.

You also know what you are getting into with insurance and a mustang, so if your logic holds true you shouldnt bitch about that either.

I'll never bitch about gas mileage. I had a 98 Ranger 4 banger before I got my stang. I knew I wouldn't get as good as mileage as i did in my Ranger but was pleasantly suprised at how close of mileage I did end up getting..

Old Ranger 24MPG......GT 21MPG = "No bitching" well worth the trade off to drive a stang rather than that truck..

Though, only complaint I have is: I miss having a automobile that I didn't give a **** about, could throw/haul almost anything into and not worry about scratching, didn't care how clean it was, or have to care about $$ for mods, or going from $240 a year in insurance to $950 a year (liabliliy to full coverage)..........would I trade all this to have my truck back::::: HELL NO!

Exactly what I was thinking. You know, or should know, what you're getting yourself into in all aspects when you buy any car. At least based on any info that's currently available at the time. If you don't, and you buy anyway, then you have no cause to bitch about anything.

However, I think that you're mainly talking semantics here. The word "milage" is being used to really refer to the cost of fueling your vehicle, which translates to the cost of a gallon of gas.

So, say John says "I wish my Mustang got better milage. It costs so much to keep filling it up." and Bob says "I wish the gas stations sold gas for $1.00 a gallon, like back in the good old days. It costs so much to fill it up."

They're both bitching about the same thing: An empty wallet. :wallbash:

I dont care about gas prices anymore. I know we are getting raped for no reason, however I also know there isnt a damn thing we can or will be able to do about it. Complaining about it does nothing but raise your blood pressure.

Damn right. I mean, complaining about the prices doesn't eliminate the fact that if you want to drive your car, then you are going to have to pay whatever the gas prices are, end of story. If you don't like it, find some other form of transportation because a gasoline engine is going to require gasoline to run.

The only thing that I hate was the timing of the whole new gas price hike. I put the blower on and the very next week prices were going through the roof. I was like **** ME!!! I wish I had seen that one coming. I woulda waited til I got my 83 back on the road to put a blower on the daily driver. We're getting used to it though. It's been interesting finding ways to make a blown car get decent milage. So far I'm back up to 17-18mpg.
