Here the E85 gas is like 3 cent more expensive, or it was. I know one thing...my ethanol stock took a dump over the last week...sob...of course it would...

Its because the refineries are having to switch between MTBE to Ethanol.

Ethanol can be VERY easily corrupted. Any MTBE in the tank that stores Ethanol will spoil the ethanol. The price went up because there is a shortage not of crude, but of fully refined gasoline.

You can blame congress and its wonderfully pointless energy bill for this hike in prices BTW. Well, that and a few other international issues.

Ethanol isn't supposed to be cheaper or anything. The whole point of using in fuel is to help the enviroment. Ethanol gas burns cleaner and causes less harm to our planet. Might want to check your owners manual and see if you can even run ethanol because if not equipped to run that type of gas the ethanol will cause some serious havoc. It will eat through your gas lines, tank, and all kinds of stuff.
