The fuel pump went out in my friends 99gt. He took it to a mechanic who replaced it and for some reason disconnected the battery, when he reconnected the battery the theft light started blinking and the car now won't even turn over.

 

tripped the PATS huh.... that's kinda weird. Call a tow, pull it to the dealer.

 

you would think the mechanic would have tested that?

 

We would? Why? Once it's tripped things get... complicated.

 

yeah but why give a vehicle back to someone knowing there is a issue it, or at least bring it to the owners attention.

 

He took it to ford and found out the guy fried the transceiver. Ford is wanting like $400 plus a ton of additional fees to replace it. Anyone know anything about replacing the transceiver in a 99GT? My friend is wanting to save as much money as possible now that he has to pay for the mechanics **** up.

 

WTF? Why is HE paying for it?. I think would send the mechanic the bill for that one. Then probably end up in court and all. But I would do it still. **** that ****!
