A broken ring land would mean the piston needs to be replaced, which is no big deal. But labor would suck if you pay someone else to do it for you.

It could of happened because of bad gas.

Hey everybody, lets try this first.
Fresh tank of gas = water= low octane= detonation= blown plug with boost. All the pictures of the plugs show some signs of water.
1. Install fresh set of plugs.
2. Replace fuel filter.
3. Add two bottles of regular over the counter rubbing alochol to the tank.
4. Start car and listen, drive car wthout boost until gas is gone from tank or drain tank.
5. Cross your fingers and good luck. I think you'll be OK!

Well, that is good advice, BUT I checked the compression, and it is only 30 lbs in that cylinder. Looks like it is 100 in another and then the rest of 120 to 130. Motor is done.

Sorry to hear that.

Time for a built motor or possibly a 5.4 swap?

Too much work and too much money. I will likely return to an N/A setup.

Sorry to hear that man. If you remove the novi, let me know. I may be looking at a supercharger here soon.

doesnt sound like that bad of a fix there Water. I think i would fix it. Hell if u lived close enough, you could bring her here and I'd help you fix it. Hate to see a fellow Mustang owner lose his ride. Let me know if u decide to sell the novi but i think you should fix the motor.
