Well we started the motor and a rod went through the block as soon as it fired so a new motor is inline.... This has been an expensive backfire.
Will a 5.4 2v long block bolt in and interchange with this motor, like intake manafold,computer ,exaust ect..?

I most likely will be doing this swap next year as well.....my motor is getting old

 

So if I get a 5.4 then the water pump,injectors and everything else will interchange,so what we are saying is everything from my 4.6 will interchange the only difference is the displacement?

 

Being a "Modular motor" im guessing yes but im not sure. go in that thread and ask redneck. im sure he can help you because hes already done the swap.

 

Alright what I was told was, This comes from ford Dealership, I would need a 5.4 computer also......
