well depending on what your budget is?
if your like me and BROKE!!!
Then Gears Can Be kinda Spendy "Because you say you have a basic knowledge" your gonna wana have em instaled
INSTALATION = $$$$$$$
A good first start is a Cold Air Intake
Simple
Inexpensive
Give a little bit of power!!!

Good idea. If money is tight, I've heard the K&N filter from advanced or autozone works almost as good if not as good at top CAIs. I've got JLT Ram Air, and I encourage that as a satisfied customer. But K&N is cheap and something you can try before spending the bigger bucks on a name brand.

induction, 4.10's, lower control arms, x/h pipe, handheld tuner.
That's about $1200 in parts. Install of gears, control arms, mid pipe would run you around $500. Should make your car sound a feel a bit quicker, but nothing too major. It may put you in the stock 99-04 gt's territroy.
