well...u CAN just slap on a s/c.....just dont go doing any 5K or 6K clutch drops......u can only do so many of those in any car...... from a roll is ur best bet if u just sc it with no extra mods.

werd... get yourself an 8.8 rear if you are even thinking about going FI. you can probably find one with 3.73 gears already installed. don't go 4.10, you'll go waaaay to fast through the gears. i don't know what year V6 you have though, so you want to look into a head/cam/intake swap. if you have single port, swaping them out for split-port will give you 50 HP alone.

wait til the 7.5 breaks.

I am still on a 7.5 rear end. If it aint broke don't fix it.

and any s/c or turbo will atleast put you at 280rwhp+ which will make the car a possible 12sec car right off the bat. hell the standards run 15.5 dead stock 99-04.

yes it is the actual power the car is making at the wheels after all the drivetrain losses.

you have the 7.5 rear end. yes you can put 3.73's in it, but you still wont have posi.

the 8.8 is stronger and you can use the t-lok which is Ford's version of Limited slip/Posi lock. Posi lock means no one tire fire...as in, when you hit the gas with the Posi, both rear wheels get the power instead of just one like with the stock 7.5 rear end.

no both will, the GT 8.8 rear end came with a Ford posi/tlock, where as the 7.5 did not.

He's a liar, your 8.8 is still a 1 wheel peel, send it to me, I'll get rid of it for you. I'll even pay shipping.

he was talking a 98/2000~ trans am v6, which although still slow would ,given equal drivers, beat a 99+ V6 stang, so it would definately beat a pre-99 v6 stang.

haha
let me get this straight
guy gets beat by girl
guy realizes girl owns a car with more HP
guy looks at spending >$5000 so he can beat this girl he will never see again and re-affirm his masculinity...

Moral of the story: girls are expensive.

The lowest that I have seen the SCT 3 tuner is $379.00 ...estimated HP increase may differ with your year pony.
