Like I said in the other thread... I discovered today the car had a miss in it. Which is also why the shiftlight was going CRAZY! It was a problem with 2-3 rubber boots on the coil packs, which are now replaced and the car is running pretty damn good. Gonna get some new videos up and see if it makes a difference at idle or not.

 

heres a vid from today.. I think it might still have a slight miss, gonna check some more rubber boots tomorrow to be sure.. I dunno if idle sounds any different or not to be honest.

Awesome video csledd, all right be honest how hard was the install and how long did it take you and your dad? To tell the truth it doesn't look that hard by your video, it seriously made me think more serious about doing cams, was there any tools that you used that you need that i wouldnt know about???

 

Does it run better? Or does it still seem "off?"

 

the hardest part about the install was the valvesprings.. it's a lot harder than it looks in the video. We started on Friday night and ended on Wednesday. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday was all valvesprings lol. Only tool we really had to go pickup was the valvespring compressor, everything else my dad had. If anything you could go with Stage 1's that need need the valvesprings and do the install in 1 day.

I have that same lisence plate frame. It does sound better but it idles pretty smooth for vt 2's was the car warmed up in the last video?

 

yeah it was warmed up. im pretty happy with the cams it really needs a tune though so i can see how much power its added lol. ive notice the loss of the downlow power, its not hugely drastic like it was with the LTs and no cats.. but it makes it SO MUCH easier to drive my car through town with the 4.10s lol

 

found 2 more bad rubber bootys lol.. went ahead and replaced them all.

sorry guys, i didnt get to go get tuned, my tuner's dyno broke and he had to send off part of it back to dynojet.. he's got it back up and running so i'm going this friday bright and early.

 

...excuses... JK, so we shall wait til friday I suppose.
