Took my 05 mustang to local shop cause it was running hard, they guy said that he got codes that told him that #6 cylinder misfire and injector #6 open CKT?? Also it was dumping lots of fuel. He replaced #6 fuel injector, but it did not solve the problem, he only charged me for the part, but said I would have to take it to a dealer to have a dianostic test done to see why it #6 was dumping fuel. Dont have the money to do this and was hoping someone may have had the same sort of problem before. Any help would be great.

I would of just swapped injector from 6 to another cylinder to verify issue instead of making you spend money. Maybe its the spark plug not igniting the fuel causing a rich condition in cylinder 6 spark plug or COP. I would swap spark plug or the COP to another cylinder to see if problem moves to another cylinder. It would be good to buy a code scanner as he did not even tell you the exact code but could be these as well.

PCM has failed
