I put in my new thermostatre when i replaced my timing chain and water pump plugs wires hoses oil etc and was wondering if any one new the way it is supposed to face is the spring part supposed to face the interior of that car and the thing that looks like a baby bottle nipple face the front of the car

 

The spring goes into the manifold and the "baby bottle nipple face" points out.

 

thanks i was just making sure cause it seems like it takes my car along time to warm up but then again my other mustang is a 2000 v6
