My high milage 1994 mustang v6 started misissing and blowing white smoke. I took it to my machanic After paying $100 or so I was told I had a blown head gaskit. l had a line on 1994 engine with low miles at a good price. . I chose to change engine out. Gess what same problem. I know thea new engine does not have a blown head gaskit. To make sure I pulled he heads off of old engine no blown head gaskit. The new engine came compleat The only parts that are coman are the ones mounted to car. HELP I dont know where to go from here. I am new to mustange V6 poblems. I don't have a clue.

 

start over. New mechanic would be a good start. Get your money back from the old one and for the new motor. If you don't know enough to answer these questions for yourself you definitely don't know for **** that there's not a blown HG on the new or the old one. I'll bet you put ******* diesel in the gas tank (did the same thing 20 years ago, causes misfire, white smoke and the ****** won't run except at high rpm and then with no power)

PS I know how to check for blown H G utIam reoveing from astrok and can't do it.So I have to depend on others in the comunity and this is a comunity I do not want anythig to do with.

The 94-98 v6 mustangs blow head gaskets a lot. Its a very common problem for them to have. You can replace the head gaskets with new ones as long as the heads are straight and you could be ok for quite awhile.

Or you could of swapped over to a 99-04 v6 mustang motors known as the split port 3.8 v6. This has the same short block (lower part of motor minus heads,intake etc....) but uses better heads and intake manifold for more power and don't blow head gaskets as much. This is a direct bolt in motor wise with only a few other mods and a tune needed to make it run. And the car will be much faster.

people are trying to help you dude. Sometimes the news you want to hear is not the news that you need to hear.

 

the problem was ECM and a lose wire wire to coil. both will cause miss fire and white smoke. It cost me only $80 to have it checked out and $150 for ECM. Car is up and running just fine. I did not have to know how to spell or type corectly to get the ansewer.

damn dude i was going to rip you for you spelling also till i read this. don't let it discourage you from hanging around. some people just love correcting others even if their intentions are good. and some people come off as a-holes even though they don't mean to. my wife tells me that i sound like an a-hole when i talk to people sometimes. and that is the last thing i am trying to do.
