Question What's the difference?

What are the major performance differences between the Mustang V6 Cold Air Intake Kit (94-98 V6) and the Steeda V6 High-Flow Air Kit (94-04 V6) other than $125, is it really worth the money to go with the steeda?

not a whole lot. most the name steeda your paying for. for a cai it really doesnt matter there isnt anything that makes one really better than another.

I am probably going to go with the generic cai then, what should I expect after putting it on sound and performance wise, also is it an easy install?

install should take maybe 30 mins at most. It will make the car a tad louder. Dont expect to have 15 extra rwhp. you will get some more power but not alot. its a good basic mod though.

the main diff. from what i can tell is the steeda one would be better if you had like a true induction hood that ran an intake scoop right above the filter. otherwise just go with the regular cai.

Demolet makes a CAI for $169 that is plastic and does not heat up. I had a MAC chrome POS which got hot when running. After the custom Ram Air and the Custom CAI out of plastic my intake temperatures have been kept down severely.

what is the silencer in cai's that people speak of and how do you remove it? BTW, I ended up buying this cai the shipping on it cost more than the actual intake, oh well here's some ducks to make it better :duckie: :duckie: :duckie:
