Belt

Number of things could be wring besides the belt, could be a idler pulley or tensioner. If it is the belt they sell whats called "belt dressing" and this would make it stop. You just take the can and spray belt while the car is running and it covers it in a light mist of sticky fluid. Another way is to take a crayon or candle (crayon works best) and run it on the belt while the car is running this covers it with a think coat of the wax and makes it not squeal. I would start with that and see if it fixes your problem as its super cheap to do either way.

Most manual cars you have a fill plug on the side of the trans, you fill it until it start to dribble out. Not sure on your specific trans, but this is a general rule. So if you unplug yours & it starts to drip out, you should be good.
Not like Auto trans that usually have a dipstick located back by the firewall, those you check with the ungine running & the temps at operating range.

ok cool. i wanted to check it because i have a winding noise that has got louder. i thought it was power steering but thats all full. do you think it could be transmission fluid? it does it when i rev the engine or when im driving and changing gears. and it almost sounds like its coming from somewhere around my alternator or my belts but i really dont know...
