CATS

well you live in a state that is about as strict as it gets. I'm guessing you already did research and know that cats are for emissions and your car is going to fail unless you have some connections but if your ok with that either get a new exhaust setup or cut them out like zig said and fill them with reg piping

Bah! Balderdash!
all you gotta do is pull off the mid pipe, take a long tire iron and start jamming it down into the cat, keep doing this untill you break up the catalyst.
easy!
lol

if you DO do it, basically the catalyst is a super small honeycomb type configuration. you really have to bash the hell out of it untill you get a hole all the way through, then after thart yer just breaking up the sides untill you clear everything out.
i wouldnt expect much HP. also, your exhaust will get to be a bit more raspy, and you will fail emissions next time you go

frea - trust me, he really riced it out...how can you go wrong with a 200 dollar car.
it did actully make a difference in the sound. didnt notice **** for hp though
jack- yea i dun think ide do that in the long run either. i broke one of my flanges right behind the cat and it just sounded wierd. kept back-firing and im not much for the o/r style. i like loud....but out the back where i can **** other people off and me, not so much :P
