the X is just a matter of opininon for me, that's what i'm usin now. i had a 3in pro chamber on a 91 gt with 1 3/4 LT's and a 3in cat back with tfs stage 3 heads. that thing was loud as hell.

Cats or no cats? depends on where you live. Emissions or not? Here in FL no emissions = no cats.

X or H? That is personal preference. I originally had an H pipe with dynomax mufflers. Changed to an X pipe because I was told more HP and TQ. However the sound changed. My car was a little quieter and less of a growl. Changed back to an H pipe (no reason other than sound).

Also I want to get a Flowmaster cat back exhaust because of their distinct mustang sound. When I do I'm thinking 2 chambers with and X pipe or 3 chambers with an H pipe. But most likely I'll go 2 chambers and the H to be as loud as I can!

I haven't heard to much about MAC prochambers recently. Heard it was supposed to give more HP and TQ than standard H pipe, but I think more people are buying H and X's because of the price.

Yep..a friend in trying to convince me to buy a pro chamber but the price is really steep..especially with cats!! My big desicion is to cat or not..can i be bothered swapping and changing all the time?? They are a bit more expensive but don't really rob power and are legal.

in my opinion you're better off running cats, that way you're legal and don't have to swap.

Thumbs up More bottom end torque or top end power?

I was told that if you wanted bottom end torque that you would want to go with the h pipe and if you wanted to go with top end power you would go with the x pipe. I have equal length headers, 2.5 inch h pipe with cats flowmaster 1 chambers and 2.5 inch tail pipes, and sounds very aggressive and have been complemented by many people on the streets.
