Well, the title sums it up. Give me all your knowledge on the subject taking into consideration performance and sound and how it'll work with my MAC cat back.....

Cats or no cats? depends on where you live. Emissions or not? Here in FL no emissions = no cats.
X or H? That is personal preference. I originally had an H pipe with dynomax mufflers. Changed to an X pipe because I was told more HP and TQ. However the sound changed. My car was a little quieter and less of a growl. Changed back to an H pipe (no reason other than sound).
Also I want to get a Flowmaster cat back exhaust because of their distinct mustang sound. When I do I'm thinking 2 chambers with and X pipe or 3 chambers with an H pipe. But most likely I'll go 2 chambers and the H to be as loud as I can!
I haven't heard to much about MAC prochambers recently. Heard it was supposed to give more HP and TQ than standard H pipe, but I think more people are buying H and X's because of the price.

More bottom end torque or top end power?
I was told that if you wanted bottom end torque that you would want to go with the h pipe and if you wanted to go with top end power you would go with the x pipe. I have equal length headers, 2.5 inch h pipe with cats flowmaster 1 chambers and 2.5 inch tail pipes, and sounds very aggressive and have been complemented by many people on the streets.
