Wheel Woes
Hey all, as you can tell by my s/n I'm from Chicago. I don't know if many of you are, but we have quite a bad pothole problem. That being said, I bent my 2nd rim on potholes this year and I'm looking to get something new that aren't stock rims. Suggestions?

I'd only buy hideous rims if the price was right. haha
As for the car color, deep red. I'll try to get some pictures, but I'm yet to get a camera. You'd think that by workin in an electronics store I'd have one by now.
Yeah so, I was calling around at Ford dealerships and they're all saying a facotry replacement is at least $350. So I'm not going to replace one now at 350, and then drop a ton of money on rims later. May as well get 'em now.

Then again, you could just do what you already said and get new wheels because if you did get the replacements, you'd be wasting your money.

They do look decent on 2005-2009, depending on the style of the wheel. 20's actually fit our body style, so we can get away with it.
Not necessarily. 20's look ridiculous on any year Mustang before 2005. I don't think that pre-2005 Mustangs should go any larger than 18".

Agreed on the 20's. There's a difference between filling the wheel well, and and looking like you're driving on train wheels. lol, jk.
I think I'm gonna go with 17x9's in the from and some 17x10.5's in the back. Should look hot! I'll have to get a camera with that too so you all can see!
Anybody have a TPM system? I was thinking about getting one just so that I can prevent as much rim damage as possible.

Sadly, I don't think there is any way to prevent rim damage. I (usually) drive very carefully, but I have still managed to damage all 4 of my wheels. I know two of them were damaged by the curbs that are in bank drive-thrus, but I don't know about the other ones.
