Not to thread jack but have similar question. I have sumis on my ride rite now and they spin like a **** off the line at the track. I was thinkin of investing in some nittos since I've heard they're good but if they suck off the line too then I see no point. Any experience w/ them at the track? Should I go for nittos as a street n strip tire or just get a set of slicks for the track use? opinions

Evan, when are you going to the track? Now that you've got those hoosiers mounted you've got to go.

Umm, at this point it's kind of up in the air... Still having issues getting the title so I can get the car registered. Dave's lienholder addressed the title incorrectly and it's all screwed up. Hopefully I'll get it by tomorrow, but it's doubtful. So, probably some time over the next couple of weeks. My brother is graduating with his masters next weekend, so I have to play host to my Grandma and Aunt over the weekend.. Uggh. lol

BTW: I've already been to the track (1/8 mi) a couple of times.. It ran a 9.0 on the Sumi's @ 55* air temp on a non-prepped track. Spinning until I hit 3rd.

Awesome you plan to ride on those 24/7. I approve of your choices thus far.

Nahh, the 315's will stay on the car for the most part.. I'll prob. put them on the car when I go to the strip, or run the road course at the superspeedway.. They're super-soft, so I have a feeling that they would prob. wear pretty quick on the street.

Nah. They are radials. They'll be fine to drive around on.

Id take a few trips on the street with 'em, other wise strip only...cause you can do that...you have extra wheels. that match.
