best mod ever for us v6ers with dual exhaust. picked mine up a couple of summers ago. If you look hard enough you can find a used one for cheap.

I'm real lucky, my mustang came with the gt bumper and black bumper inserts. It looks so much nicer.

i have a question, do you think i could bring my car to like a auto body or such and have them cut out the exhaust slots on my v6 bumper? or is the v6 rear bumper totally different from the GT and not able to do that? i mean it might be cheaper since you wouldnt have to re paint and then install it also, just curious if its possible ?

mine did that crackling stock.. but i wouldnt want to go that way if i were you, id run dumps above the bumper or just at the mufflers.. 6's dont sound that good with the tips kicked up in my opinion.

EDIT! to above. I'd say they could cut it,, thats the only difference in v6 and gt, its urethane so it wont hurt, just let them do it and make even measurements.

Check on ebay, theres a pretty good company that sells already painted bumpers for like $250. That's where I got my rear V6 bumper and have been happy with it. They have GT, Cobra, and V6 bumpers.

I found a v6 car in town that had duals and put a note on their windshield asking to trade. Since I use turndowns/dumps I didn't need the tail pipe cutouts. You may be able to do something similar.
