Went shooting with the g/f today..
It was a gorgeous day, and my girlfriend has never shot a gun before, so we went to a gorgeous outdoor (not to mention FREE) range. My only gun is the maverick 88, which is a GREAT gun...surprisingly accurate and solid. Just thought I'd share. and by all means, if you have shooting pics; POST UP!

Is that a ******* panda bear tattooed on you arm?
I'm tellin ya man, mossy 590A1 > any other mossberg. haha.
Looks like fun, we don't have many places around here where we can just go shoot our guns without worrying about police.

Yeah, I went for cheap with the 88. Just wanted some home security. Looked it up online, and found out its actually a great gun, and will last forever. I'm happy with it. Kicks like a ******* mule though.

nice pics guys. when you're shooting a pistol, chris, looks like you're leaning back a little too much. i might just be crazy. if im not mistaken, you're supposed to almost "lean in to it." doing that is supposerd to lessen the recoil, and improve accuracy, i think. lol.
I remeber shooting 300 rds out of my 1911 with no ear plugs. my ears were ringing for a week. not doin that **** again.

Shooting without earpro with just about anything besides a .22 is a real bad idea...ESPECIALLY on a 12ga shotgun. lol
And you're right about the stance fish, you're suppose to shift your body forward. Never lean back when shooting.

I'm not the biggest shooter in the world, never gone to a range. But I took my buddies Glock45 and hit a pigeon at 15 yards at his turkey farm in Berthoud. If I remember correctly, that was the same night we packed 100 BBs in a balloon with some gun powder. Man, that was crazy.

I'm the complete opposite, I can hit anything with a handgun, but when it comes to rifles, I lose a bit of my accuracy. Used to be a really good shot, but I don't know how I'd do now because it's been about a year and a half since I last shot.

In my last year of HS I took a Police Academy class and we were trained on 9mm Glocks. Had shooting competitions and all, only used the paint bullets though. Good thing too, had it been the real thing I might be missing a toe from one of the other students. But we had speed shooting rounds and I pumped out 56 rounds in 1min and 4sec. Got second place. Was pretty persistent too, always on the same side of the board we were shooting at. I think I only had 4 strays.
