2 things i dont get...

1. how is that in this day and age a guy can shoot 8 people in a mall and not run into one of us that always carry at least 2 guns that will stop him after the first 2?

2. why do we continue to splash these loser's face across the front page knowing that all these psycho nerds want is attention? screw em...just report the story and not the losers face

 

1. Law abiding citizens cant carry a concealed weapon into a mall that is marked with "No Concealed Weapons Allowed" signs on the front doors. Only people carrying guns most public places are thugs. Its a shame to think one well trained concealed carrier could have ended this situation quickly, but couldnt.

2. Because the media is a bunch of rating chasing idiots

 

because that's the irresponsibility of the drive by media. they're such a bunch of vultures, and everyone in America feels the need to have to see the guy/girl who went bonkers on innocent people.

cause honestly if you heard about it, but they didn't show his face, everybody and their brother would be going, come on show his face!

that's how sick and twisted of a society we really are. we want the gruesome pictures and details of what happened, we want those chilling eye witness accounts.

because if people didn't they wouldn't watch the news. that's the reason i watch football basketball, and movies or discovery/military channel stuff. don't wanna see that garbage.

im sorry, but those dumb no concealed carry rules at stores and businesses defeat the purpose of the law...and the law should supercede the rules of premises. most people if they're license to carry concealed, aren't gonna go bonkers on people. those no concealed carry rules, cost some people their lives.

so in effect no one being able to protect themselves at the mall was a death sentence, and I think i'd be suing the mall on ground of not providing a safe environment, as those rent a pigs you find at malls couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag if they had to. Had someone had a concealed carry permit and a gun, that guy probably might have done entirely less damage, or none at all. i wouldn't be surprised to see the mall get sued actually, and they'll deserve it too.

it wont be long and I'll be carrying concealed, and if i have to I'll just wear a coat or windbreaker over mine, cause I'll be damned if im gonna get gunned down in some mall or store by some nut case who's ticked off at the world, and go quietly without a fight.

 

Unfortunately we are becoming a society where if one person is offended the whole system has to change. I would feel safer with licensed gun carrying owners. All the low life thugs would think twice before robbing anyone as there may be people that can make them eat lead. I dont think people realize that we are not as free as we think. there is a HOA in southern denver that charged a family 500 a day for each day they had a Merry Xmas sign on thier house.

The peoblem is people no longer preach tolerance of others, instead they pursecute people for thier belief and try to punish them for making thier beliefs known.

They are saying "It is ok if you believe in god.jesus,allah,buddah,whatever, just dont let anyone see it"

they SHOULD be saying "You should be proud of your beliefs and show your beliefs with pride, however you should still respect other peoples beliefs and let them show thier pride as well"

and anyone who disagrees with that in my view should get the **** out of my country

Home Owners Association.

The idea behind it is sound, it is a neighborhood association that is designed to protect peoperty values of the people within it. There is normally a monthly fee to the HOA, and there are rules you have to follow. Cant leave garbage cans out overnight, no RVS parked in front of a house more than a week, must paint house in earth tones, must maintain your lawn and mow the lawn, no excess noise after a certain time, etc, etc.

it keeps yer neighbors from having a rusted out Camaro on cinderblocks on its lawn for years. It protects yer property values.

Personally, i cant stand them though. I didnt sign on to pay a 225,000 loan and dough out 1,500 a month in mortgage payments to have some asshat try to fine me 100 bucks because i forgot to put my trash can inside, or fine me because my grass is over 3 inches.

the way is see it, that is why you not only look at the house, but the neighborhood and neighbors as well before you buy.

I dont have an HOA. Some people here swear by them and think im insane for not living in an HOA neighborhood, but quite frankly i already have too many people telling me how to live my life, i need an HOA bitching about the paint on my house about as much as i need a hole in the head.

I got a great neighborhood. Lived in area, virtually no crime, people take car of thier property, and sure, there is the oddball thing here and there, it gives the neighborhood character.

yeah screw homeowner's associations. once i get done with school, and get a good job, im building a house on some land. i hate being told what i can and can't do on here, how in the hell would i deal with a HOA telling me what I can and can't do with my own house and property.

wanna find about an acre or so..build a nice 3 level home (see attachment)

basement will have a DLP Projector, w/ a white wall as the screen. a pool table and an air hockey table. and there will be a second garage in the basement with sound proof walls so I can work on my Stang(s), with a nice small hydraulic lift to get the car off the ground to work on.

hope someday to be out in Colorado..that's where i was born and where i wanna live the rest of my life at.

Frank has the nice house, the SUV, the sports car, the wife, 3 1/2 kids, and a dog...we have our PTA meeting on thursday night, little Jimmy has a football game on Saturday, Nicole has her first date Friday night, little Sarah is cutting teeth, and Thomas is off at college, and Linda can't take care of the kids cause she has strep throat. Fido is in need of deworming, the boss is on Frank's back about overtime, the SUV needs brakes and an oil change, gotta pay the electric bill, Grandma's in the hospital, Uncle Lenny's back in alcohol rehab, Aunt Mary went to the nuthouse, Nicole needs a cell phone, and her Ipod quit working, and the little bastard down the street hit another baseball through the dining room window...blah blah blah...

all this material bullshit and crap that's not important, won't be too important, when people turn on the news and see than an American city has been nuked...there will be riots, looting, and widespread panic...and people trying to save their worthless little lives that have suddenly become so important.

the tv networks oughta put "The Day After" on every cable, local, and satellite channel 4 times a year, to remind people not to get too comfortable with their lives, and that they need to have this in the back of their minds, and have a plan of action to put into play.

F HOA's......I pay $300 a month for my HOA and for what....it's a brand new development. boooo on HOA. I agree with Jack about the concept being good, but they are like F ing *****.

 

it's not about one person pushing back from the computer and getting out and making a difference.

it's about the majority of the population of 300 Million Americans simply not giving a ****, and turning their focus to their families and their jobs, and possessions.

it's good they care about their families...but when the crap hits the fan...the jobs and the possessions wont mean a damn thing, and family and survival instincts are all people will have.

i guarantee if someone went on national tv tomorrow and said in the year 2011 on March 1st, NYC will be hit by a nuclear bomb...he would be laughed off of tv, and people wouldn't even pay attention to his proclaimation. but when the city ended up nuked, then people would pay attention.

our society is one that, we have to wait till bad things happen before we start to care. 9/11 happened, and so many people realized some things...but now 6 years later, those same people are back to the way they were...they dont' care, it's over, and nothing has happened since...the human mind has discarded it as an isolated attack.

that's one of the advantages these bastards have. they strike at random. we never know when it's coming. they hit us, they get our defenses up, get us pissed off...then they sit back, concoct something else, let us get comfortable again, let the heat back off...then when least expect it...bam...they hit us again.

When I see a listing for a home with HOA fees I dont even consider it an option. Ive heard horror stories through my family about HOAs. Its just another establishment to strip away your freedom and take your money, should ring a bell.

It is ridiculas to think anyone could want a nuke disaster but you know what, I have not forgotten 911 while many others have. Just because you are human doesnt mean you have intelligence .
