some of them you can just tug on and they'll work but almost all of them need some length added to clear the floorboards.

as soon as he has hunters car out the door( this friday i hope ) he will be able to make them as you guys order them. if the 4v guys wanna chime in, i don't see any problem making some as well...

i'm so happy that this is coming together, tj is da man . i'm glad they are like r3d's under the steering shaft. so after hunters is out we will have some updated dyno numbers to see how much power they make....

hey guys, i ran into a problem while mounting the 5.4 to my car, the 5.4 came out of an automatic e150 i think, the problem is my torque converter won't even line up with the holes on the flexplate, it is about one inch off or so. Could i have a flywheel instead of a flexplate? the holes are about 1/2 inch more apart than the torque converter can reach.

here are some pics, maybe someone can help me figure out if indeed it is a flexplate

pic1

pic2

here are the intake adapters from MMR, until i can get the HPS intake, about 100 cheaper than RR plates

hey everyone its been a bit since i've posted but i got a few more mods. put in 30lb injectors from R3dn3ck and also installed a 99 cobra IRS. got a bassani catback for it, koni 5-way SA shocks, MM aluminum difff brace and pinion angle adjuster. Vid and pics:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3AYKun5pbY

the exhaust needs a good bit of adjusting, going to add 2" to the catback before the mufflers and help tuck them up under the car a bit more, also going to spread the pipes apart from under the diff, theyre too close and the pass side rattles on the diff brace at times. thankfully i dont have to drive it much.

see how close it is to the diff brace?

mufflers hang lower than subframe a good 2"

pipes will be spread apart so they can be raised up on either side of the diff more

Update... finished the first try building my new CAI. I couldn't find something that did what I wanted and was less than 300 bucks so I went to Home Despot and grabbed a couple bits of 4" steel heater pipe and an adjustable 4" steel elbow (jointed at 4 plates so it swivels like a newt suit) and some aluminum tape that's good to 300deg for about 12 bucks. I got the elbow joint all set up how I thought it'd need to go and used the aluminum tape to not just stick it in that position (it's strong as hell) but it added a little insulation and helped smooth off some edges. After about 4 layers it's solid as hell and should reflect heat well enough.

I made myself an EGR delete plate too and sorted out most of my vacuum issues (still need to finish building the PCV separator) so it's down to waiting for some parts to come in and then I'll bolt them all up, cut the hood and drive down to the tuner.

I also fabbed up a neat little shelf out of some .060 aluminum plate for my methanol tank and made a new meth tank out of a 1 gallon plastic gas can. It seemed appropriate.

My drill broke so I'm kinda fucked for a week or so till I can grab another.

Just picked up a 90mm L-MAF. I'm thinking of putting it on the passenger side where the stock one was and using 4" tubing to bring it over to the blower on the driver side in front of the engine. Thoughts?
