need some advice
Alright guys I hope you can help me cause im about to give up on this car. Well I have a 2002 mustang gt I blew the motor early december using nitrous. For the rebuild I found a good deal on a lightly used 03 cobra shortblock. The shortblock was assembled by modular powerhouse using ross 19cc dished pistons and manley rods.I reasembled the rest of the car using the shortblock with stock 2v heads I added a set of 262ah comp camsand comp valve springs. Then reinstalled the rest of my mods cold air intake, longtube headers, off road prochamber, catback, spec III clutch, Moroso 7qt oil pan w/windage tray thats about all of the major stuff. Now when I started the car after getting everything back together it wont stay running. The car wont find an idle then comes up with engine codes 0410, 0610 when I looked up the codes I found that it was the o2's in the longtubes so I replaced them and now its doing the same thing again. What could it be? At first I thought it was in the tune so I sent my cam cards and a list of my mods to a reputable tuner to get a chip. Well I got it back put the chip in and it still does the same thing. Is there something more needed with the tune or do you think it could be something else. I really have no idea. I drove the car very lightly around the block thinking the computer would adjust just a little. It seems to surge while driving but when I come to a stop the car will die. If I just put the clutch in and let the car coast down to a stop it will also just die. Could there be something in the fuel delivery at idle? I have no gauges to moniter such things as fuel presure or air fuel so I cant give you guys that kind of info. Please help

Why don't you take it to someone who knows how to do it, have them fix it. They'll have all the guages they'll need to make a good diagnosis and repair.
FWIW, The symptoms you describe are almost always vacuum related in my experience... given that you didn't identify the relatively simple cause of your stalling I'll assume that you are not a qualified mechanic and suggest that my first suggestion is the only suggestion that will really help you. Seek professional help.
If you can't maintain an idle, usually you have a vacuum leak, a really serious one and or a problem with your TPS (throttle position sensor). My first hunch is you have to seal up your vacuum ports. After that, take your car to a MECHANIC and have him run the propane test. He'll know what it is and how to do it.
Good luck dude.

I am not a certified mechanic but I did disassemble and rebuild this car on my own. Id say I know a little about my motor. I was just asking for things to check for that maybe I am overlooking, as far as a vacum leak I checked all vacum lines and even cleaned the IAC sensor to no avail. If there is more to be done please let me know. I want to think it is in the tune but want to rule out all possibilities. Thanks for the advice.

first two things to do is get a vaccum guiage and fuel pressure guage and test both on your motor. You can buy or rent them at a local autoparts store. my guess though is that when you did your cams you didnt line them up right and its not timed right becuase of it. thats what it sounds like over the net at least. But i would try those two things first and let us know what they are.

I will try to work on the vacum a little more. I have thought about maybe the cam timming being off. I did everything that the tech articles say I lined up the timming chains made sure the tensioners were fully engagged, ect... Plus wouldnt the timming in the cams being off cause ptv? or some type of MIL?
