ok, sooo far soo good, now i got a question, which longtubes are legal in california,i recently said i was gettig shorties bbk, but as i read on past topics, they are garbage, i want something thats gonna help my s/c breath better?and labor is gona be free for the headers and cams sooo im doing this now!

There aren't any long tubes that are legal in California....Shorties are though. I've heard really good things about Bassini's mid length headers, but again, I don't think they are legal in Cali. I wanted to do headers so bad on my mach, but they are not something you can just swap out when it's smog time....I mean you can, but it's A LOT of work.

 

yeah.. it's a world class pain in the *** to swap headers. LT's are not legal in CA period like JJT said. If you've got a hookup on your smog then I'd get LT's but watch yourself around the local constabulary. They like to give 1000 dollar tickets for not having legal exhaust.

I personally never cared for BBK products, but I think their headers are ok, and you can always go with Ford Racing shorties as well. I'm not sure what other companies make shorties.

 

FRPP and JBA make 50 state legal headers.
