Default Storage tips

Well the Mach 1 will be going in storage for the winter soon and I'm looking for some tips, this is my first time having to store a car over winter. In about 300 miles I'll need an oil change, I should definitely have that done before I put it up right? The car will be completely detailed inside and out. How much gas should I leave in it, or does that even matter? The storage units are local, how often should I stop by and start it up? I also plan on taking it out on the nicer days for a little drive.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. I decided to post this in the lounge too because no one reads General Tech.

MAn, I don't know anything about storing a car, but I drive my car maybe once a week. I'd just start it up as much as possible. Change the fluids before you store it. A battery tender.

Refuel the car all the way and then add a fuel stabilizer and make sure to use a battery charger.

LOL @ them yankees. My car is stored in the parking lot where I work at. and in my driveway when I get home.. Winter here can be anywhere from a little bit of snow, or ice, to 70 degrees and warm in any winter month.

Gotta love living closer to the equator..

If you arent going to drive it for a while put dryer sheets by where any openings are, also a few on the inside keep mice and other annoying creatures out.

You can just unhook the batteries (the ground), we do it in all of our stored cars.

Add stabil to the fuel and fill it all the way up. Other then that and disconnecting the battery for the few months its going to be hanging out in storage there is nothing to worry about. If it was going to be a year or so then I would toss it on jack stands and do other things.
