Default Long-Term Storage Advice?

I'm gonna be storing my car late this summer in a covered garage and it probably won't be driven but for maybe 1 day every 3 months until next June. Are there any tricks or secrets I should know about when storing a car for this long? I'm most worried about my brand new tires, I've heard that they can rot if they just sit there.

Why are you putting it in storage?

put it on jack stands, empty the fuel, richen up the coolant, try to keep spiders out, put a dead pig in the back seat, duct tape the windows and doors, let it bake for a year and then come back and try to get the smell out.

I'm going away to college in Atlanta and my family doesn't really need or like driving my car.

r3d, what do you mean "richen up the coolant"?

Put the car on jackstands, add a little bit of straight coolant to your radiator, and go buy some fuel stabilizer. Youll also want to leave the car in neutral and leave the parking brake off so it doesnt seize up.

that's what I meant. the straight coolant will help to keep corrosion and bacteria from getting a foothold.
