Basically, we have stopped driving and I can afford it. Kids and I went Geocaching today....on our bikes and I have lined-up a car pool which I will start in two weeks to get to work. The car pool will save me about $400 to $500 per month.

it was cheap enough that even though I only have a 6mile a day round trip commute, that it will pay for itself within a year if gas prices stay the same as they are now and dont go up any further.

In Ohio, and many other states...as long as the bike has pedals and is 49cc or less, it is considered a "motorized bicycle" and only a normal driver's license is required if the person is 18 or older.

OK. I paid 4.00 for mid grade gas on memorial day, I paid 4.01 today for the same. So I think gas is gonna go down, but my wife say's, no way it's gonna keep rising.. It's a toss up about which way the prices are going. They usually go up during a holiday, but decrease afterwards.. Lets see what happens now. Some people are predicting the worst for this summer. 5 bucks a gallon. I say no way.. If we have to start paying more than 4 bucks a gallon, then we should start some actions toward our elected officials to do something. If we have to pay more than we are RIGHT NOW, then we are going to suffer the same fate as our overseas allies. 7 to 8 bucks a gallon. That is unacceptable, IMHO.. Dammit...
