gas leak where fill tube meets gas tank
i got a 2000 gt and the rubber gasket where the fill tube meets the gas tank has gone bad and it leaks gas, how do i go about replacing it? do i have to drop the gas tank?

Yeah you'll have to drop the tank and slide the filler tube out and then pop out the rubber grommet. I just had the tank down last week to install a fuel pump. Pretty easy to do and you should be able to get that grommet from Ford.

I had the same damn thing happen to me I was filling up went to walk in and pay to see ALL my gas pour out onto the ground i was so pissed i took it right away to the dealer he said the parts the grommet was like ten and the filler pipe (was rusted) and a new one was 189 i have yet to get them due to lack of funds but he said if i keep it under half of a tank it should not leak

Yup, plus it makes it much easier to slide it back in. The filler neck looks like a giant dong sliding into the hole. hahaha
