Nope....not me. Last car I bought was June of 2006 and before that, July 2003. Until last year, I was getting new company cars every other year. Both cars were used too. WAY before then, I was going through new cars way too often. Last new car I bought (which I still have) was in Oct 2002.

A good freind of mine drives an '02 s60. great cars...only 18 y/o I know with heated seats. great reliable cars. His only problem is rattles. But I think it's because he has 2 8500 MTX 12 inch subs, some 800 dollar amp, pushing something like 140 decibles.

my sister has a s60 wow that car can move. the turbocharged I-5 is sweet. No joke you can be going 140 easy in that car if it wasnt limited.
I did around 120 until the govanor said no more.

Hum....that is strange. I wonder why the motor problems. Never heard anything one way or the other on Volvo.
The 90 series is certainly a very nice looking SUV, but ****, they get money for these things new and loaded. $50k and still climbing. I see some nice used ones with low miles for $28 to $38k depending on miles, year and options.

most premium car companies figure the bulk of their sales are actually leases and they stop caring about the longevity after the lease period is up cuz they sell the car for peanuts at auction after the lease return. As long as it can make it 35K without an oil change they don't care if all 4 wheels fall off afterward.

I hear ya, but not sure if I buy it. Most people I know who have premium cars don't know **** about them, and they do all the little maintenance "thingies" like a bunch of lemmings just out of fear - lol
Thing is, I want to get a nice smaller suv to replace my 100k mile Suburban. I am really all over the map, because nothing is really jumping out at me. One minute I see ourselves in a 4 dr Wrangler, and the next, a BMW....go figure.
I really prefer to have something with three rows, but not huge. The Arcadia is at the top of the list and the Enclave, but I ain't paying for financing when Ford and Chrysler are oferring 0%. They are not doing anything special on the Arcadia's. I also like the Lexus (what's not to like) and need to make sure it is something that my wife will want as she will be mostly driving it.
I have been keeping cars for a pretty long time, so I would prefer to own and get something loaded to the gills.
As a Sabb owner, I even like the 9-7. I can get one with $7k in rebates right now as a Saab owner and may even be able to use my GM card.
Believe it or not, a Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel has a certain appeal too, though no third row.
Like I said, nothing jumps out at me, but my wife's favorite is currently the Volvo.

The best euro-suv I can think of would be the diesel toureg2. It's a v10 diesel making 310hp and 553tq. Stump puller, easy to drive and you can use bio-diesel. Since it's got that much grunt I'll betcha it's great on fuel too. No need to steeply gear it if it'll pull a house you know. Down side is a 70K dollar price tag. Has almost 30" of water fording capability. Great for snow.
The v6 model is 39K... v8 for 48K.

toureg is sweet. I know a guy who converted his toureg to run a oil from fast food places. He goes to in and out(those of you outside cali, az , nevada may not have heard of it) and fills up on grease for the car. saves gas mpg
