My first Ford service experience.

My first Ford service experience.
Got my first service call for my 04 GT today. 2500 miles and running great.
My experience with my dealership was great. 1 hour and i was done.
But the real story was what i was while I was there. I pulled into the service bay and right behind me was an 04 Torch red Cobra pulling in. Very sweet looking car. Same color as my GT. (I didn't think they made any 04 Cobras?).
It had 800 miles on it and was Garage kept. The poor dude that owned it was selling it to the dealer. He couldn't afford the insurance, is what the ford guy told me. ( he probably got a ticket and cobra rates are higher than the rest).
I got a first hand look at it and I would LOVE to have that little darling. Blown DOHC, not any thing other than stock Cobra that I could see.
I had more than 1 salesmen try to talk me into a trade in. they wanted $29,500 for it, Hell my GT was $26,900 only last year. My trade in value would suck too bad to get it but. DAAAAAMMM that cobra was sweet!!!!!!!.
My original salesman came to me and was realy trying to put me in that car..
If I only had MO Money LOL
any way first oil and filter change and it was free. good job Ford

Im 21 and my insurance rate from my 01 GT to an 03 cobra is 100 dollars more every 6 months.
:toothy9:
I would of jumped on that deal if I had 1000 cash on hand. Trade yours plus that cash for the cobra. Done deal, but Id have the IRS switched out to the GT and keep the GT rear end in the cobra.

Don't mind if I ask who your insurance agent is? (I might have to switch to them!)

If I were you id contact your local body shop (preferably the biggest) and ask them who has the best insurance coverage in your area. A common misconception that cheapest is best and that couldnt be farther from the truth. With being the cheapest, thats also the route they go when repairing your car. If you are shopping around, the place that will replace everything with NOTHING EXCEPT oem or aftermarket by your choice and wont shortcut body repairs by painting over the problem, is one you will want to consider even if you pay a couple bucks more.

Yea, my insurance company Allstate tried to screw me over when I wrecked my old stang. They tried to ask the body shop to get a used axle to replace in my car, and the body shop guy told them no. I know the body shop manager pretty good, so he got me a brand new one, and he also filled in my trunk lid holes for free
