Moved To Japan
Well the Air Force has sent me back to Okinawa, Japan. I was here 4 years until before I was sent to Hawaii for a year and a half. I got promoted to Chief (E9) which made me eligible for a move.
I put the cobra in storage as I could not bring it here (Japan restrictions).
Looking for a screen name change to MarcInJapan.

So are you in Japan for awhile now, or are you going to come back to the states for your baby? That sucks you couldn't take it with you. Keep us posted.

Yea, was tough leaving the cobra behind...but, at least I didn't have to sell it.

Okinawa is to Japan as Hawaii is to America.
I dont think they have the same racing scene up there do they? i thought you had to hit mainland for a lot of that stuff.
Sucks on the cobra, i knew a guy while i was in Misawa Ja who had a 97 GT Vert. Must be an okinawa thing, either that or rules have changed....

Hey Chief, i gotta say, back when i was in the military all the chiefs drove crappy old beat up cars.
Nice to see one with a Cobra! (even if you dont get to drive it) And congratulations on the promotion!
Hey, any chance you ever worked with Msgt Gilpin? Probably either Chief or retired by now... He was at the Khobar Towers when they got bombed, he was my first shirt back in the 35th squadron in misawa.

Yeah, my dad just retired from 32 years in the Navy. I went to an all Japanese kindergarten in Japan. They tell me I used to speak fluent Japanese.

I think the American cars is an "okinawan thing". I know in the mainland hey have US cars there. I still have the cobra, so its not too bad. I do miss the 500HP on tap.
I will look at an Evo IV today. Don't know if I will get it...but, still will look at it.
That MSgt Gilpin sounds familiar...but, can't put a face with it.
