I, for one, want you to get this cobra so mine is not the only cobra that is blue on this forum. You will like it alot I imagine. I REALLY ENJOY MY 01 COBRA AND COULD NOT EVEN IMAGINE HOW MUCH FUN AN 03 COBRA WOULD BE LIKE. THE STOCK EXSHAUST ON THOSE CARS ARE ENOUGH TO GIVE YOU AN ORGASM IN ITSELF. On a side note.......wanna post some pics?

I sure would when buying a car like this and I would also have a reputable mechanic check it ok to make sure there are no leaks and everything is in working order. The last thing you want to do is buy this car and it be a lemon.
yes, as fast as these cars, think about all the vids you've seen of guys beating on the cobras. There great engines, but somethin still could be messed up for such a great deal.

Run a carfax for sure and then if possible find someone that works at Ford who can run an Oasis report for you. That report will tell you anything Ford has ever done to the car including all warranty work. All they need in the Vin number. There used to be a guy on the Mach 1 registry that would run an Oasis report for anyone that asked, but I'm not sure if he's still with Ford.....might try an SVT website or something.

So if you don't mind me asking how much will your insurance go up? I'm 28 with a clean record and my insurance went up like $200 a year when I traded in my 03 Vert GT for the Mach.....so I can only imagine what you'd pay.

Jon, you are lucky you are not my kid...cuz if you were and had a 51% in a class you would be riding your bike.

I say keep what you have. I think it is rediculous for teens living at home to have car payments....someday you will know that what I say is true. I can not tell you how many times I have seen this turn into a dissaster. It is better to put off some happiness now, so you can have more later. Get those dam grades up, go to college, and get a decent job.....live on your own for Pete's sake and then buy the car you want and can afford. Holy hell, anyone can have a car payment when you have to pay for nothing else.

Oh, wait....this is a Mustang site...ahem....get the Cobra...yeah....get the Cobra.

ROFL, I'd make my kid also. If he/she got straight A's and I had money out the wazoo, then I'd buy them a cobra. But Jon's not the only one. The first month that the C6 vette came out, I saw about 3 different ones driving around w/ students in them on a daily basis, so they werent just their parents. $50 grand is even worse than a $21 grand car.
