Thumbs down Anybody have experience with body shop work?

I'm trying to get a ballpark figure on how much it would cost to paint my drivers side door! Strip all the old paint off and repaint! I went to service king to get an estimate and they are charging me $1,000.....I told them that was too high for me...

When I had my Tahoe, someone scraped the door, it was repaired stripped and painted for $150. But, that was a hell of a hookup from a good friend of mine.

you gotta go around places rates vary soo much. when i had my 99 f150 i had a hood for it and i got est. from 700 too 200bucks. And the place that did a 300buck ets. had the nicest finish out of all the other shops. So go find a phone book or look online and check out different shops.

You need to make some friends at dealerships/autobodys. You seriously have no idea how much money you can save by knowing some people. For example, your 1000 dollar estimate would cost me 100 bucks from start to finish.
