Default I cant figure this out for the life of me!!!!

Ive got a 2000 GT 5spd. with 96k on the clock.

When i get on it or let off something in the drivetrain feels loose (LIKE WHAT A BROKEN MOTOR MOUNT FEELS LIKE!). More so when at low rpms at very low speeds, something feels like its just shaking around and makes the car jerk back and forth like i dont know how to drive a stick! know what i mean??

So far i have done poly motor mounts/trans mount, upper and lower UPR control arms with poly bushings, poly housing bushings, replaced both u joints, and used UPRs control arm bolt kit.

Now it felt alot better (but still not right) after the control arms and bushings but after about a month or less it was back to being as bad as before.
I have driven an 01 GT and an 04 GT both five speeds and neither felt like mine, they drove alot smoother.

Just to clear this up, I bought the car with 54k on it and it was BONE STOCK! And it did this (not quite as bad). I just though it was a motor mount or something.

I dont know what else to look at and im VERY mechanically inclined and do my own work. I just cant figure this out and was hoping that someone on here could help me out.

THANKS.

Yes, I forgot to mention that. I replaced both of them and marked the drive shaft so it all went together the way it was before i took it apart.

mine does the same thing. its just nature of the car. for some reason, mustang are somewhat hard to drive. if you dont want it jerking back and forth when decelerating, push the clutch in. i just learned to deal with it and i can drive it with out it jerking unless i have to quickly get off the gas for a car cutting me off.

oh, and mine is a 2003

a light weight flywheel and driveshaft would help diminsih the jerking. all you are feeling is the momentum of the drivetrain continuing when you get off the gas. thats it.

ya i get what your saying, but when i pull in my driveway (like 2mph) it will rock back and forth and you can hear it. I do have a light weight flywheel, not sure if it made a diff tho its been like 2yrs since i installed it so i dont remember. I have gotten used to it but it still drives me nuts. my buddys 04 is smooth as butter, no shaking what so ever and its all stock. I just dont know what gives!

Thanks for the input guys!

You can't tell what side its coming from or is it coming from the whole car it feels like?

seems like the whole car, maybe a little towards the back. Im pretty sure its got something to do with the rearend bushings. Im thinking about going with those sepherical (not sure if i spelled that right) bushings in the housing but wanted to get some feedback before I buy parts for nothing. Oh and my torque boxes look fine too just to clear that up. Something is def not right somewhere and I wont stop untill its fixed, i just dont want to spend a ton of money for nothing though.

Just throwing an idea out here, but could this be a clutch/and or tranny issue? Jerking at low RPM's sounds like gears, maybe a rear gear not meshing right. ?

If it feels like the whole car I gotta ask when the last time the shocks/struts were changed out?

my clunking is only when i shift, so i figure its u-joints or my gears, i plan on getting new ones anyway but it would be nice if i didnt have to feel that ****.

Im pretty sure the shocks/struts need to be replaced, Its lowered 2" and ive put about 40k on the car since i got it. It feels like the drivetrain is moving, not really the car its self, this is really hard to explain. I put 4:10s in it also but its done this even with the stock 3:27s.

I wish i could find a better way to explain how it feels. picture what it would feel like if the motor and trans werent bolted to the car. thats pretty much what it feels like i guess. Ive checked all the motor/trans mount bolts, bellhousing bolts, control arm bolts, etc. everything was tight.

I really appreciate all the input guys!
