I believe the stock V6s came with 15x7 rims w/ 205/65 tires, and GTs with either 16x8 rims w/ 225/55 tires or 17x8 rims w/ 245/45 tires; The rims in the picture look like 15" rims. I'd be looking at getting 17x9 up front and 17x10.5 in back. of course, with an offset wheel/tire combo, you won't be able to rotate your tires properly. Some ppl go with 17x9s all around and use spacers in the rear to give it the offset look. It all depends on how much $$$ your friend wants to spend.

I'm sure someone knows exactly what size thoes are just by looking, but it's easy to tell. Just read the numbers on the side. The first set will be close to 225 then a slash, this is the width of the tire. The second set of numbers will be around 55 then a slash. That set of numbers is the sidewall ratio. The third set of number will have and R and then the size rim the tires fit, either 15 or 16. So it should read like this 225/55/R15. My rims are 18x9 and my tires are 245/45/R18. But I have a qestion. Why is your friend buying rims to fit his tires? Shouldn't he buy whatever rims he wants like some 18 inch rims and then get tires to fit thoes. It would be kinda pointless to buy some 15-16 inch rims.

first off i put 17/9's all around and i dont like the look of them so im moving up to 18/ 9s in the front and 18/18's in the back... its preference. thois tires looke like 15's though

Those rims are 16s. I have 2 sets of them myself so I know for a fact those are 16" rims. No way to know the exact tire size by just looking at the picture. You would have to look on the tire itself. I was pretty sure that the GTs came with those rims, or the optional 17s, as I have a 95 V6 and it came with 15s. But anyway, those rims are definitely 16s. You can easily put a 245/50/16 on those, if your friend just wants a slightly wider tire without having to buy rims right now. I just bought a set of Kuhmos, for like ~280 to my door.
