I have had my 2000 GT since january and its been great. about the beginning of this week i noticed a noise when i pushed on the gas, but it stops when i let off of it. it sounds like when something is worped that rubs against something while it is going in circles. like it rubs each turn around. the car is a 5-speed and only seams to do it in 3-5 gear. my friends say it may be the clutch but it seams like it is lowder when i stick my head in the back seatlike it comming from the rear. the clutch is still tight and it seams to be fine. i really dont know what it might be??

Is the noise at engine speed,wheel speed,or something in between?
Metallic or not?
Look for exhaust parts rubbing or cables hanging loose to start.
