yep, your friend got himself a beat to crap GT. I think the steering wheel should also say cobra on it instead of mustang. Not real sure on this one, but i think my friends '98 does.

ya i told him to check the title and it says gt. He was pissed off but he basically got a pimped out gt. Its got 3.73's, performance exhaust, performance transmission, CAI, and a fully customized FOBRA. It used to have a supercharger on it but he removed it to sell it.

 

When you look at the valve covers from a GT and Cobra you will notice that the Cobra takes up the whole engine bay and the GT doesnt.

Did the guy say it was a Cobra? Did he advertise it as a Cobra? If so, you should get a lawyer.

ya he advertised it as a cobra that's why he was so freaked out when i told him it wasnt. The funny thing is my other friend said
"you took it to a mechanic right?"
and he said "nah, my mom wanted to, but i just went ahead and bought it"
i dont know if the mechanic would have caught it, but i thought that was funny. And i dont know if he cares enough to go get a lawyer....

 

why wouldnt he care he way way way overpaid for an almost stock slow pre 99 gt(no offense to these owners)

i mean i got my 99gt with 16,000 miles on it for 12,900
and my bro got his 99gt with 12,000 miles on it for 13,000

he got a slower car with tons more miles for only a few grand cheaper, shoulda paid about 5-6 for it

I want a plastic box like you have over your air filter. I have a BBK and hate the filter being out in the fender.Sucks to take off and put on. Where can I get just the box deal,I've got the other stuff to change it.

 

find the guy and tell him you know what he did and you want your money back if he refuses... have your friends beat the ever lovin S@&T out of him so he cant call the cops on you... and then call a lawyer...

 

He probably does not care because it is not his money and he did not have to work for it (assuming his Mom bought it). As far as suing, you have to look at the cost of the effort vs the payback. But if it were me, I would at least talk to one.

In reality, he overpaid fo the car, but only by a few grand.
