Was the brake pedal vibrating also? Could just be the ABS kicking in...

You probably have a warped rotor.

probably more a warped rotor than abs. ABS causes the pedal to pulse but a warped rotor will shake the wheel noticably. A fast stop from 100 is enough to warp stock rotors in many cases.

I agree with the warped rotor. You should be able to tell the difference between that and ABS kicking in.

take this opportunity to get a set of cobra brakes on there. It's a nice upgrade and they MUCH harder to warp than 10.8" stock fronts. Leave the backs stock... no use upgrading that part.

where could i get a good set?
how much will they be?
will i need new calipers?
and do i really need them cause i dont really have the funds now and i would much rather get some go fast parts rather then slow down parts lol would it be unsafe not to get them now?

Find a hil and drive down it. Apply the brakes, but not too hard. Keep pressing and if the wheel rattles back adn forth, it is most likely a warped rotor. That generally means new rotors and pads, but possibly just a re-surfaced rotor.

Like said above, its more than likely warped rotors. If you have warped rotors they have to be resurfaced and you probably need new pads as well. instead of paying the dealership 2.5 hours for the front brakes labor + parts, you should just go buy cobra brakes for 400-450 and get stainless steel braided lines as well.

Installing them is a walk in the park.

I am doing this upgrade as soon as I need brakes.

brake kit comes complete with rotors, calipers, pads, new SS lines, and banjo bolts. ANY IDIOT can do the swap in his driveway in 1 hour. They cost 400 bucks for the set. It would cost at least 50 bucks or so for a new rotor if you were just to replace the bad one but you should replace the front as a set. Add another 70-100 bucks for new pads cuz your old ones are probably kinda off kilter by now. So figure a minimum of 200 bucks in parts just to fix what you've got wrong right now. Add labor and you're at break even to the upgrade. With cobra brakes you'll have not just fixed the issue but made a major upgrade to performance and looks.

<My $.02>Cobra brakes are the single best investment you can make. Go as fast as you want but at least be able to slow yourself down once you get there. Stock brakes suck the big donkey *****.</My $.02>

You can go around with a warped rotor for a while and it'll just make the wheel shake a bit but it'll get worse and reduce brake capacity.

Take my advice or tell me to shove it but it's the best advice you'll get on the subject. I know how it is with money being tight but it's really really really really worth it. Really!
