Help with Tranny
I put on a new clutch cable and my car still wont shift gears. My quadrant is fine so no need to change it. When the car is running it wont shift gears, but when the car is off it will shift gears. The part I am clueless about is my car will start when I engage the clutch. Any clue what it may be?

never ever been happy with adjustable cables. OEM. Try readjusting. The reason you can't change gears when it's running is the clutch is still engaged. You need to adjust the thing until it's not engaged.
Jack up the back end so the wheels are off the ground. Peg the clutch pedal to the floor with a stick or something (a friend is really helpful here). Adjust the clutch cable and firewall adjuster until the rear wheels don't turn with the tranny in gear and the clutch pedal to the floor.
You're welcome.
