actually automatic is worthless for a v6 unless u do some serious mods (i.e. s/c, heads, cams, etc...)

thats why i stopped puttin performance on mine for right now and just do apearance...until when i am like out of college with a nice job then drop a new engine in there unless i buy a cobra

what's wrong with auto if you get a tune?

also, most surgeons won't do a tranny swap, so you're lucky.

Well one, I didn't plan on beating to **** my car so thats why I didn't buy a stick. Two, I don't mind having a V6 or an AUTO because I can still beat 3/4ths of the cars out there. Three, I didn't have a choice. :wallbash:

Theres nothing wrong with the auto man, its actually probably stronger than the tranny you are wanting to put in. Have Justin at VMP "jerry" mod your valve body, get a good convertor (ive heard good things about the B&M holeshot convertors, especially with the spray, spike can vouch, he had one) and top if off with a nice big B&M cooler and that automatic will not let you down.

Summit racing sells the convertor for around 500 bucks, your trans is a 4r70w.
Summit also sells the coolers.
Justin can be contacted at www.vmptuning.com for the jerry's mod.

If you have any other questions hit me up.

Knife is right and the B&M holeshot is bad @$$. You can make a automatic good you just have to wanna put the effort into it. If you put the time and money into it you will out perform a stick, atleast on the 1/4 mile.

really my parents were the opposite...they WANTed me to learn stick...mostly so you can control the car...otherwise in snow and rain it can be really tricky trying to control the car...

1400 bucks for what kinda trans? a T-5? those are like 1500+ themselves... make sure what you get is better then what you have...

you could always get some rims and tires for you car with 1400 bucks...Show before GO with a 6...and u already got alota Go...
