Can somebody figure out when ford changed from 19# injectors to 21#'ers, and what color is which. I know it was in the 2003 model years... but i dont know what date. Since my car was built oct of 02... and has pink tops to them, are they 19's or 21's?

no there is not.

It was late late 01 that they changed to 22pounders.

 

must have been really really late 01. I had a last half run 01 with 19's. Near as I can tell the 21's came on 02 up cars with the 6 wire MAF element. There is no difference in performance between the two other than the amount of fuel they flow. the 21's are a little better suited to most bolt-on user's needs. They'll support a little more HP so you won't have to go to 24's so soon if you up the power with cams or small nitrous shots.

They are not interchangeable without having the ECU updated in software with the new size.
