oik, you guys have to remember that I have not a clue what you're talking about. So I've taken off the panel and apparently I'm looking at the ECU(?), but I see 3 plugs and behind those 3 I see something similar in the picture icefreezen showed. Do I gotta unplug all 3 devices and then remove the box that I guess is the ECU?

Another thing is that apparently you guys are familiar with this stuff, but remember for someone eho had a completely stock engien until a week ago, I've not once ever messed with this stuff so when you're sayin "oh god any dumb fu(k can do this", it's not really helpful and I'd prefer you just don't say anything.

No crap. Like I said, I had it removed and I was looking into it but I had no idea what I was even looking FOR. You didn't describe anything so upon removing the panel, I was lost

It might help if you post some pics Danny. Then we can point it out to you.

One I did not say your a dumbass Danny. I said any dumbass! Your not familiar with it cool. Unplug the wire harness and I think you have to unbolt the ECU. Then pull the plug on the bottom. It looks like a normal PC board slot. If you have to remove the factory cover you have no chip. Usually a tuner will have to put tape or something to secure your chip in the ECU. Takes a couple minutes all together to check. Post a pic with the ECU removed and I'll explain better and I'll follow the KISS method to explain it.
