whoa.. saying a 2.1 60ft is like a 1.8 60ft at sealevel? so you could run a 1.8 60ft without doing a burnout at sealevel? I'd like to see this move

Jon, that correction is off or the data you inputed is faulty. If for no other reason then the fact that you can't cut a 2.1 60 foot and run a 12.7 on a near stock GT.

I am glad that you raced and applaud the fact that you corrected your times, but the results are just not right.

When you spray at this rate you are gonna end up with a corrected run of 9.5 secs. Then, what are you gonna say? lol

Anyway, like Christie said, internet racing is tough. You really need to line-up two cars side by side to really know what is going on. Use the corrected data for comparison only, but don't assume that you can run those times at sea level.

lol i dont think it's a 1.9 either.. not trying to put your numbers down, I just know how hard it is to get a 1.9.. I dont think its possible without heating the tires a little.

I always spin mine from the front of the water pit to the lights and just enough to stop on the box for my tree lineup.

That is why I quit posting about my times. The 1st time I did I got told I don't know how to drive.

Grats Jon on your times. I saw his 14.6 run. I don't know about correcting any track times but out of all the stangs running with us that day that were n/a his was the fastest.

I ran a crappy 12.9 with a 2.0 60'. Traction issues all day for everyone.

Oh and I'm not trying to be a dick but just because of lower elevation does'nt alway's mean a 2 second drop in time's.

hell yeah i'll pay for gas for you to come. Thursday nights are $15 to race as much as you want, which is about 45 min south of me. If i don't go this thursday, i'll be goin next thursday. That'd be sweet as hell to race you. I'd bring a few cameras to get every angle. That'd be a badass video I could make

Jon sorry man you would NEVER hit 12s with your mods.....Its just never going to happen at any track....It bothers me when someone with a high 13 second car telling people it runs 12s. It doesnt! There are 03 cobra owners out there still struggling to get their cars in the 12s and they have 400hp. You dont understand what big of a difference 2 seconds in the 1/4 mile is......A 12 second car is a fast motha phucka and you just arent making the power.

The other route to 12s is in the suspension, but you dont have any suspension mods?? I run my GT at a VERY high altitude track called "The Hill" and I ran a 9.0 in the 1/8th with my mods and drag radials with a 2.0 60ft.....You just need practice, youve been to the track one time.......Id like to see you get the thing into the 13.50s.......

yeah not to jump on the banwagon but they are right, with your mods... your not running a high 12. a friend of mine has basically the same mods as you with drag radials and he heats them pretty good, and it's never perfect at the track. so far with some wheel spin, a 13.25. He's been going to the track for years and he's the type that will make a pass, check tire pressure, adjust them, and run it again. trying to get it to hook better. or trying other tricks.
I know your in a high altitude but you must factor stuff in for the southern people, i'm in SC, not by choice though, the HOT A$$ humidity and running on a track when it temps out at 150 degrees. it can be 80 degrees and feeling good here and the track will temp at 130 degrees. and you now sucking in hot air can make your car run sluggish. so using that, when my saleen had the old 4.6 non pi motor running at 14.70 at 93 mph, little wheel spin on street tires, actually ran a high 12's??
I wish....don't let it bother you. If i post crappy times and get neg feedback, who cares, we suck it up and press on.
Whatever i run, on the slip, is what i tell people i run. so far the best i can do with my car was a 14.50 at 101mph. But can you gas it in 3rd and the tires break loose, then let up, the tires catch, gas it again and they break loose again. That's why i bought some mickey thompson drag radials. oh, when they broke loose in 3rd i ran high 17's and low a 18, when they finally caught in 3rd, i ran the 14.50,
but who cares...it's all about how i run it and what i can do to make it better.....and props for taking it to the track, i know the adrenaline was kicking in, man i love that feeling!!

Now now, it is possible to get better than 13.8 with 2.1 60 ft times, he has the gears. They keep pullin and pullin. I mean, if you got a 400 hp car with a 2.2 60 ft, it'd get mid to low 13's. I say jon has a mid-13 car, but I cant imagine it being corvette fast yet, especially 03/04 cobra fast yet. If he had the LT's then possibly...
