Default I'm new, and I need advice

Hey everyone, i'm new to the site and I just wanted to tell you guys a few things, and then ask some questions. First, a little about my recent life... I had a 1995 Camaro 2D Coupe (v-6, 5-speed) but I recently got into an accident and my car was totalled. It's a long story, but in short a big passenger van ran a red light at about 60 mph and nailed me as I was pulling out into the intersection. If you visit my site, you can get a more detailed story and see pictures of my totalled car.

Anyway, due to my lack of car, lack of funds and craving for power, I was considering a late 80's to early 90's Mustang 5.0. I have a few reasons for this. One, is that they are generally inexpensive (very important due to my current financial situation). Two, they are decently fast cars. Three, there are A LOT of aftermarket parts availible for them to make them much faster.

What I want to know is any useful information you guys can give me about these cars, such as good years to get, things to look out for, stuff like that. I really appreciate your time, and I hope you accept a former F-Body owner into the Mustang world.

Oh, and one more thing. I was just curious what 5-speed 1988-1993 5.0's run (stock)
in the 1/4 mile.
