Default Compression Check

Ok I did one today, but im pretty sure it wasnt done right. I unplugged all fuel injectors, but didnt unplug all the spark plugs. You must unplug the spark right? First time doing compression check so bear with me. With the spark plugs still installed and hooked up except for the cylinders I was doing the check on i got 180 , 195 , 175 , and 180 for the drivers side head. This was dry with no oil. Didnt have time to do the passengers side because I found out your supposed to pull all the plugs and I didnt have time. Ill do it again soon with the plugs pulled and Ill see if it make the readings any different.

No real reason for doing the check, my buddy was checking his honda's out so i did mine too. The motor has 120,000 miles on it so I figured it wouldnt be a bad idea. Forged block is coming in the fall.

all you do is pull the all the plugs out, and i would unplug the injectors (since it takes a half sec to do that) and then do each cyclinder. Thats how you correctly get a dry compression test.

then you need to redo it. Because if all the plugs werent out it cant let the motor spin freely enought o get better readings.

Why not skip the comp test and do a vacuum test. This will give you a better overview of your engines overall health.
